The AI startup Thinking Machines, founded by Mira Murati, has introduced a full-duplex interaction model capable of processing input and generating responses at the same time. This new technology allows for natural human-like conversations with a response time of 0.40 seconds, enabling the AI to be interrupted during speech. While currently a research preview, the company plans a wider release later this year.
