Meta has partnered with Overview Energy to access up to 1 GW of power from a space-based solar energy system designed to beam near-infrared light from orbit to ground stations. The company is also investing in ultra-long-duration energy storage with Noon Energy to provide up to 100 hours of backup power for its expanding AI infrastructure. These projects represent long-term bets aimed at overcoming the limits of traditional clean energy technologies by 2030.
